Major UK convenience retailer McColl’s Retail Group has announced that its ongoing programme of converting stores into the Morrisons Daily format, franchised from national supermarket operator Morrisons, will be extended even further than hitherto planned. Having already set a target for 350 Morrisons Daily stores, McColl’s now intends to add a further 100 to that number, aiming to reach 450 stores in the format by the end of November 2022. McColl’s has a total estate of c1,200 stores.
