We spend a day with Coop Norge, visiting some of their latest store concepts. The retailer is currently testing an unstaffed solution at one of its discount store Extra, in Oslo, a first in Norway. It continues to evolve and improve its assortment to align with shopper needs and the market trends.

The new concept was built using the latest trends in interior architecture and design, as well as the evolution of consumer expectations since the banner's last update five years ago. At the same time, the store remains focused on low prices. The new store concept is embedded in the needs of the city-based shopper, and it illustrates a significant move away from the standard store format that is typically found in suburban and rural locations.
